Background of the Study
Maternal health programs are crucial for reducing maternal mortality rates, improving the health of mothers, and enhancing the well-being of families. In Fufore Local Government Area (LGA) of Adamawa State, maternal health services are vital in improving outcomes for women and children. With the implementation of various maternal health programs, families experience better health, which in turn contributes to economic stability. These programs often provide services such as prenatal care, skilled childbirth assistance, and postnatal care, addressing complications that could otherwise lead to higher healthcare costs or the loss of a mother’s income.
Maternal health programs can have a significant impact on the economic stability of families by preventing health-related disruptions, reducing medical expenses, and promoting healthier mothers who are more likely to participate in the workforce. However, despite these benefits, there is limited empirical research on how maternal health initiatives specifically contribute to economic stability in rural areas like Fufore.
